Person vs. Person
There are a few conflicts in "A Child Called "It". The biggest conflict is the conflict between Dave and his mother. Dave's mother finds every way to torture and abuse Dave and she seems to enjoy it. Dave's mother has done some very terrible things to Dave. For example, she has "accidentally" stabbed him, smeared his face in baby poop, starves him if he doesn't do his chores in her time limit, hits him, traps him in a room full of chemicals for him to suffocate, tries to drown him, etc. She treats him like some play toy.
Person vs. Fate/God
In this memoir, Dave seems to think that God hates him. He feels like God hates him for the life that he gave Dave.
Person vs. Self
Dave seems to feel like he's the reason for his abuse. He gives up on his self and doesn't even care if he dies or not. Dave's mother has said that he's the reason for her abusing him. She "brainwashed" him into believing that everything bad that happens at home is all his fault, even though deep inside he knows that it's not his fault and that it's just the terrible actions of his mother.
