What I learned the first week of this class was stuff that can be very important and are very important to our lives in the future. Things such as, the rules of being human and why stories are so powerful.
The rules of being human is such a good one because it explains different ways to look at our lives when it comes to situtions and such. One that really stood out to me was the rule that we don't make mistakes, we only learn lessons. Why that was so meaningful to me was because thinking you made a "mistake" can be a bit hurtful, so thinking you only learned a lesson can be very helpful and encourage you because now you know that what you tried to do at first, you can do better.
Another thing that really stuck out to me in the first week was the fact that stories can be powerful. They indeed can be because people can learn better from hearing a story than just hearing a fact. Stories can engage people to really listen, and when they listen they learn better and keep what they heard in their minds better.
I can tell that from what I've learned so far in this class will really help in the long run. I look forward to what else I will learn because I know that it will be very important. Why that is is because there are so many things you can find out about your self and the world and you just have to learn it.
